Named Aucor Namibia (Pty) Ltd by its founding members, specializing in Vehicles; Real Estate (property); Household Furniture and Appliances; Office Furniture & Automation; Aviation; Construction Plant, Equipment and Machinery; Agricultural Land, Produce, Equipment and Machinery; Mining Plant, Equipment and Machinery; Manufacturing Plant, Equipment and Machinery; Salvage of Plant; Building Equipment; Marine Assets and Collectibles.

The meteoric growth of Aucor Namibia is a direct result of the hands on attitude of the executives and senior management, and of the know-how and creative thinking of all staff members. Meet the Team

Gert Engelbrecht – Managing Director / Appraiser
With more than 30 years experience in mining sector and material handling Gert Engelbrecht founded the company in 1994. In the same year he was also appointed by the High Court of Namibia as an appraiser for the district of Windhoek and currently still does valuation for al the financial institutions in Namibia. Today he heads up the operation in Swakopmund making sure that with his vast experience clients are well looked after.

Jandré Engelbrecht – Director
Jandré Engelbrecht joined the company in 1997 after studying B.Comm at the University of Stellenbosch as an accountant. In 1998 he was the key person in the development and implementation of the custom Auction Program that is still in use today. In 2004 he was appointed as a director of the company and in 2007 he furthered his academic career by studying at the University of Stellenbosch Business School were he attained a Management Diploma (2007), Senior Management Diploma (2009) and an Executive Management Diploma (2011).

Neil Engelbrecht – Ceo / Auctioneer / Appraiser
Neil Engelbrecht, a Paul Roos Old Boy, spend a few years with his alma mater after completing his studies at the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa, coaching and teaching and joined the company in 2000 as a site officer and ring man in the auction arena. In 2002 he completed his training with the South African College of Auctioneering and today he is still a fulltime auctioneer with the company. During 2004 Neil was appointed by the High Court of Namibia as an appraiser for the district of Windhoek and currently does valuation for al the financial institutions in Namibia.

Wikus Loots – Auctioneer
Wikus Loots joined the company as site officer and ring man in 2005 after completing his diploma at the South African College of Auctioneering in 2004. He already had extensive experience in all aspects of auctions while working for the Namibian government as an auction supervisor since 1990 and also headed up the very successful “operation cleanup” during 2000 – 2004.

Phillip Shangula – Auctioneer
Phillip Shangula joined the company in 2006 as a general worker, but with his potential evident, he soon started his training as an auctioneer and qualified in 2008. With his experience and training in all aspects of the auction industry he currently heads up the operation in Ongwediva thus making sure that with his knowledge of the local business culture clients are well looked after and maximum returns are achieved.

The Team brings together a wide range of professional, practical skills and experience relevant to the auctioneering and asset management fields, backed by competent a dedicated support staff.

It is in fact this team of highly qualified staff, which allows Aucor Namibia to live up to its reputation of service excellence.

Since the establishment of Aucor Namibia, auction sales have been conducted for all the financial institutions, insolvency practitioners, government and parastatials, municipalities and private sellers.

Auction Facilities

Our permanent auction facilities are strategically located throughout Namibia.

Located on the C/O Michelle McLean and Platinum Streets in Prosperita, is an all-weather 1000sq meter auction warehouse with secure storage, loading facilities as well as a further 2500sq meter shaded auction yard.

Located at number 25 Hidipo Hamutenya Street in Swakopmund is the impressive permanent auction facility with 500sq meter all-weather auction warehouse as well as more than 5000sq meter secure open air auction yard able to handle any type of equipment that come their way.

Newly constructed in 2011 this purpose build permanent auction facility is located at Erf number 5686, Extension 13, Ongwediva. The 500sq meter all-weather auction warehouse as well as the 2500sq meter secure open-air auction yard, is centrally located in the business hub of Ongwediva.

Legal, financial, administrative, valuation and of course auctioneering skills are brought to bear in the disposal of customers' assets to best advantage. The company participates and supports the affirmative action program in accordance with section 22 of the affirmative action (Employment) Act. 1998 and has an extensive training programme for all staff.

Black Economic Empowerment (BEE)

Aucor was started as a family business, which still has a remarkable influence on the culture of the company. The family and the founder members offer a progressive attitude and loyalty to Namibia. Aucor Namibia is a Namibian company with 75% of the Company being Namibian owned. During 2005, Aucor Namibia concluded a BEE deal whereby 26% of Aucor Namibia is now owned by a Namibian 100% owned BEE group, Twine Investment (Pty) Ltd. This brings the total Namibian shareholding in Aucor Namibia by a BEE group to 34.7%.
